Cynthia Jayne Amol was awarded the Alele-Williams Masters Award at Deep Learning Indaba 2025 for her research contributions to low-resource language modelling and African NLP.
The award recognises her leadership in advancing inclusive computing research and her role in the MCAAI team’s dataset and model development work.
